Events at your venue
Managers host their own events with no review, OK other hosts’ events and suggest changes to them, and fix or hide events neighbors listed there.
Your calendar
In the Venue Manager, Events opens on your calendar: everything at your venue, month by month, hosted events and listed ones alike, each with who runs it and where it stands (for example Waiting for your OK). Choose Month or List, and ‹ Today › to move. Times are in Pacific time.
Post an event
- Choose Post an event on your calendar.
- Give its name and date, a start and end time if you know them, a price and who can come.
- For something that happens every week, choose Every week and for how many weeks (up to 12).
- Choose List it. It’s listed at your venue’s spot and credited to your venue (“Listed by” your venue on its page). Fix or hide it later under Listed by neighbors, like any listing at your venue.
Other hosts’ events
- When another host wants to hold an event at your venue, it waits for your OK. Home and Your venues show how many are waiting.
- Open your venue’s Venue Manager (from Your venues) and choose Events (or the button that says how many wait).
- Read what it is, when, who’s hosting and how many it’s for. Choose Say yes, or Say no… with a message to the host if you like.
- Yes: it’s published (or goes to the EventBuzza team, if the host asked for a review). No: the host sees your message and can change it and ask again.
If the host changes the event after you said yes, it comes back to you. Coming up here lists what’s ahead at your venue, yours and other hosts’.
Suggest a change to another host’s event
- Choose Suggest a change… beside the event, under Waiting for your OK or Coming up here.
- Change what should be different and add a note saying why, then Send suggestion.
- The host sees what it is now beside what you suggest, and accepts or declines it. Nothing changes until they accept. You see their answer beside the event.
- Its name, description and good to know can be suggested until it’s over. Its start time, price and who can attend only while it’s a draft or the team asked for changes (who can attend only before it’s first submitted). A series’ dates are its host’s.
- One suggestion waits at a time: sending another replaces it. Take it back withdraws one still waiting.
Events neighbors listed
People list events at your venue from flyers and posts. Listed by neighbors, under Events in the Venue Manager, shows what’s coming up:
- Fix details: correct the name, date, start time, price, who can come, description or ticket link. It shows on the event’s page at once; the person who listed it and the EventBuzza team can see you changed it. Events from other websites can’t be edited here, since their site would change them back.
- Hide…: take an event off EventBuzza, for example when it was canceled or isn’t at your venue. Say why: the person who listed it sees it. Hidden by you lists them; List it again brings one back. The EventBuzza team can bring one back too.
Your own events
Choose Start an event here in Events. You need to have started hosting (accept the host terms in Settings); see Create an event. Your events at your venue are published as soon as you’re ready, with no review.
