Terms of use
These terms are the rules for using EventBuzza. By creating an account or sharing on EventBuzza, you agree to them.
EventBuzza is operated by NewBitsNow, LLC, a Washington limited liability company. In these terms, “EventBuzza”, “we” and “us” mean NewBitsNow, LLC.
Who can use EventBuzza
You must be 13 or older. Teens from 13 to 17 can use some features but not others, as our privacy policy explains. Use one account for yourself, keep your sign-in safe, and tell us if someone else uses it.
What you share
You keep ownership of what you share. You give EventBuzza a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, show, copy, resize, read and share it so EventBuzza can work and so people can find events, including in calendars, feeds and emails. Event listings and flyers stay public after you delete your account, with no name attached.
Only share flyers that are posted publicly and that you’re allowed to share, and only share photos you took or have permission to share.
Community rules
Don’t use EventBuzza to:
- Post events that are fake, misleading or for something illegal.
- Share private home addresses or other people’s personal information.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or share hateful, violent or sexual content.
- Share anything that exploits or endangers children.
- Send spam, pretend to be someone else, or collect information about others.
- Copy EventBuzza’s content in bulk, overload it, or get around its safety and access controls.
Events on EventBuzza
Most events are listed from flyers people share, so details can be wrong or out of date. Check with the organizer before you go. Unless it says otherwise, EventBuzza doesn’t organize, run or endorse the events it lists, and you go at your own risk.
Hosting events
If you host events through EventBuzza, you also agree to the host terms you accept when you start hosting: your events are accurate and lawful, you’re allowed to use the place, you keep attendees safe, and you use attendees’ information only to run your event.
The Venue plan and billing
The Venue plan is a paid membership for people who run a venue or host events. Its price is shown on the pricing page and at checkout, and tax is added where it applies. You pay through Stripe, our payment processor.
It renews automatically, every month or every year as you chose, and you’re charged at the start of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Plan & billing (Manage card, receipts and plan): it stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then ends. Payments aren’t refunded, including for the rest of a period, unless the law requires it.
If a payment fails, the plan stays on for a short while as Stripe tries again; update your card in Plan & billing to keep it. If payment doesn’t go through, the plan ends. We may change the price for later periods; we’ll tell you before the change applies, and you can cancel before it does.
When the plan ends, its tools pause: your venue pages stay as they are, your venue staff wait, and newsletters stop. We may end a plan, and cancel its payments, for an account that breaks these terms.
Town and venue pages
EventBuzza builds pages for towns and places from the flyers people share. In the future, a venue or a town will be able to claim its page after showing that it runs the place, and then brand the page and manage its content and events. We may correct, combine or remove pages, and may take back a claim that is misused.
Moderation
We may review, hold, correct or remove anything shared on EventBuzza, and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put people at risk. Some checks are automatic. If you think we got something wrong, tell us.
Copyright
If you believe something on EventBuzza infringes your copyright, email hello@eventbuzza.com with what it is, where it appears, and how to reach you, and we’ll look into it.
Feeds and calendars
You may use EventBuzza’s calendars and feeds for yourself. Ask us before using them for anything else.
No warranties
EventBuzza is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available, accurate or free of errors.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, EventBuzza isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for events and content from other people, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. You agree to cover our costs if a claim arises from what you share or from breaking these terms.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms; we’ll update the date below and tell you before an important change takes effect. You can stop using EventBuzza at any time, and we can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Law
The laws of the State of Washington apply to these terms, and disputes go to the courts of Washington.
