Publish or submit for review

Finish the checklist, then publish it yourself when everything is in place, or submit it for the team to review.

Open the event’s Setup tab and mark checklist tasks Mark done as you go.

Publish it yourself

Publish appears when the venue is approved and claimed by you, the required tasks are done and you’ve accepted the host terms. If something is missing, To publish it yourself lists it.

Or submit it for a review

Once the required tasks are done, Submit for review sends it to the team. You can’t edit it while it waits.

At a venue with a manager

When a venue’s page has a manager on EventBuzza, they say yes first. Ask the venue and publish (or Submit for review) sends them your event; Setup says it’s waiting for the venue’s OK. Editing it while it waits takes the request back; ask again when you’re done. When they say yes it’s published (or goes to the team) straight away. If they say no, you see their message; change the details and Ask the venue again, or start a new event at another venue. Changing an event after they said yes asks them again.

When the venue suggests a change

A venue’s manager can suggest changes to your event there. Home tells you, and the event says Suggested change: it shows what each detail is now beside what they suggest, with their note. Choose Accept the change and it’s made at once (their OK still stands), or Decline… with an answer they see. Nothing changes until you accept.

What each status means

  • Draft: finish the checklist, then publish or submit. Edit details works here.
  • Waiting for review: the team is checking it.
  • Changes requested: the team says what to change under From the team; make the changes, then Submit again.
  • Approved: the team publishes it next.
  • Published: it’s on the map and people can register.
  • Completed: it’s over and you saved its results.
  • Canceled: it was called off. If the team canceled it, registrations for its dates still to come ended, and Setup has a message ready for you to send to those people (Show the message, then Copy).

Good to know: Once an event is published its details can’t be edited, except a venue’s suggested change to its name, description or good to know that you accept. A series can still add or cancel dates. To change anything else or call an event off, write to hello@eventbuzza.com.
