Start hosting

Hosting comes with the Venue plan, for ages 18 and over. Accept the host terms in Settings to start.

Hosting events with registration, check-in, messages and results is part of the Venue plan. Hosts from before the plan keep running the events they published.

  1. Open Settings and find Host your own events (with the Venue plan).
  2. Tick I accept the host terms and confirm I’m allowed to use the places where I host.
  3. Choose Start hosting. Hosting appears in your dashboard menu.

The host terms ask that your events are accurate and lawful, that you’re allowed to use the place, that you keep people safe, and that you use attendees’ details only to run the event.

How hosting works

  1. Pick an approved venue (or propose one) and claim it.
  2. Pick a playbook: a proven plan with a run of show, a group size and a checklist.
  3. Create the event, choose when it happens, and work through its checklist.
  4. Publish it yourself, or submit it for a review.
  5. People register; on the day you check them in; afterwards you record how it went and can run it again.

Good to know: Hosted events are free to attend for now: there are no tickets or payments yet.
