What’s public and what’s private
Flyers and events are public. Your name, email, date of birth and location aren’t.
Public
- Flyers you share, the events listed from them, and event posts.
- Comments and photos you add, credited to “A member” (or your badge, such as “Contributor”) unless you choose to show your name.
- Your badge, if you have one. Your points and level are private.
- Counts, such as how many people shared a flyer, are going to a hosted event, or checked an event (Check it).
Private
- Your email address and date of birth. Moderators never see your email.
- Your name, unless you turn on Show my name on what I share in your profile.
- Who registered for a hosted event: only its host sees the list.
- Who follows a town or venue, or gets a venue’s news: a venue’s managers see how many, never who.
- Your location: used in your browser to find events near you, never kept with your account.
- Hidden photo details such as GPS location, removed before anything is kept.
- Who opened a page: EventBuzza counts how many times each venue and event page is opened, never who. A venue’s managers see those counts for their venue, privately.
EventBuzza has no ads and doesn’t sell personal information. The full details are in the privacy policy and the terms of use.
