Host terms
These terms apply when you host events on EventBuzza: events with registration, check-in, messages and results. You accept them in your dashboard before you create or publish an event, and they come on top of the terms of use.
EventBuzza is operated by NewBitsNow, LLC, a Washington limited liability company. In these host terms, “EventBuzza”, “we” and “us” mean NewBitsNow, LLC.
Who can host
You must be 18 or over, have an EventBuzza account in good standing, and have the Venue plan (hosts from before the plan keep running the events they published). You host as yourself, or for a venue or group you’re allowed to act for.
Your events
- Describe each event accurately: what it is, when and where, what it costs, and who it’s for. Keep the details up to date.
- Host only lawful events, and get any permits, licenses or insurance the event needs. Follow the law on alcohol, food, noise, capacity and public spaces.
- Set the age rule honestly (all ages, 18+ or 21+) and check ages at the door when it matters. Teens can’t join events marked 18+ or 21+.
- Don’t use events to mislead people, collect money for something you won’t deliver, or promote anything harmful.
The place
- Host only where you’re allowed to: your own place, or one whose owner or manager agreed. When you start hosting you confirm this.
- At a private home, EventBuzza shows only its general area; its address goes to the people who registered. Host at someone’s home only with their agreement.
- Keep the place safe for the number of people you expect, and stay within its capacity.
The people who come
- You see what you need to run the event, such as who registered and their contact details. Use it only for this event: to check people in and to tell them about changes.
- Don’t sell, share or reuse attendees’ details, add them to mailing lists, or contact them about anything else without their permission.
- Treat everyone with respect, and don’t turn people away for who they are where the law protects them.
Safety
- Plan for safety: exits, first aid, the weather, and anyone who needs help.
- If an event includes people under 18, make sure responsible adults are present.
- If something serious happens at or around an event (an injury, a threat, a crime), call 911 when needed, and tell us at hello@eventbuzza.com as soon as you can.
Changes and cancellations
If an event changes or is cancelled, update it on EventBuzza and message the people who registered as soon as you know. If you charged anything, refunds are between you and your attendees, following the policy you stated.
Money
EventBuzza doesn’t sell tickets or collect payments for your events. Anything attendees pay is between you and them; state prices and refund policies clearly. The Venue plan’s billing is covered by the terms of use.
What you share
Share only flyers, photos and words you made or have permission to use. You keep what you own, and you let EventBuzza show it on the site, in search and in shares of your event, as the terms of use describe.
EventBuzza’s part
EventBuzza is a place to list and run events; it doesn’t organize, staff or supervise them. We may review, correct, hide or cancel an event, and pause or end your hosting, if it breaks these terms or the terms of use or puts people at risk. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@eventbuzza.com.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before you create or publish another event; events you already published stay as they are.
Law and contact
The laws of the State of Washington apply, as in the terms of use. Questions: email hello@eventbuzza.com, or write to NewBitsNow, LLC, PO Box 2610, Olympia, WA 98507.
